About me
I'm Anvesh Reddy Pinnapureddy — a Software Development Engineer at SAP Labs, working on Project Gardener — a Kubernetes-as-a-Service platform that manages Kubernetes clusters at scale across multiple cloud providers. I'm part of the Core Infrastructure - Etcd team.
My primary focus is systems engineering — the space where software meets infrastructure. I work mostly with Go, Kubernetes, and distributed systems like etcd. I'm particularly interested in consensus algorithms, container orchestration internals, Kubernetes operators, and building tooling that makes engineers' lives easier.
I graduated from IIIT Hyderabad in 2023 with a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering. During college, I also worked as a Teaching Assistant and interned at Samsung R&D Institute and iHub-Data, IIIT Hyderabad.
What I'm focused on
- Building and maintaining Project Gardener — Kubernetes-as-a-Service at SAP
- Working on etcd operators (etcd-druid) and backup-restore infrastructure
- Deep diving into distributed consensus and etcd internals
- Writing about systems engineering on this blog
- Building Kubernetes controllers and operators in Go
